
River Bend Chorus
River Bend Chorus (RBC) is Michiana's
premier show chorus for women. This local chapter of Sweet Adelines International was founded in 1977 and has entertained audiences with its special brand of four-part harmony throughout Michiana and as far away as New York when in 1991 RBC graced the stage for the Carnegie Hall 100th anniversary celebration! RBC performs a variety of music, including old standards, Broadway show-stoppers, contemporary pop and country, gospel, patriotic numbers and jazz -- giving audiences a quality performance that leaves them smiling and humming a familiar tune.

RBC is a group of fun-loving, hardworking and dynamic women of all ages, occupations and backgrounds enjoying a musical journey of education and entertainment while advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony. River Bend is truly rooted in Michiana with members from, South Bend, Elkhart, New Paris, New Carlisle, Niles, and Union.

RBC has won many honors at SAI regional competitions, including 2nd and 3rd Place Medalist Chorus;in 1979, Novice Chorus, in 1982, Most Improved and Best Small Chorus, and in 1999, Best Mid-sized Chorus. At the 2006 Regional Competition RBC won Most Improved Chorus and 3rd Place Division A Chorus.
RBC is proud to be a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of 30,000 women singers.
